WHO WE ARE
Friday is the lovechild of a simple desire to have fun, born out of a love for the unconventional. Our ethos is all about pushing boundaries and bending the rules, encouraging girls to play hard and look good while doing it.
What began as a longing to find the perfect pair of women's boardshorts—ones that fit right, felt good, and didn't lean too heavily towards either femininity or masculinity—quickly snowballed into a brand that has no real bounds. At Friday, we're on a mission to blur the lines between feminine surfwear and the traditional, masculine surf industry.
Though our roots lie in boardies, we recognise the appeal of surf culture beyond the waves. We embrace the idea that fashion and swimwear, as well as surfwear and streetwear, are interchangeable. Our range is designed to move with you from the beach to the bar—the kind of Fridays we live for.
Designed and made with love in Indonesia—the motherland of our founders—Friday embodies the spirit of everyday feeling like a Friday. It's a culture that gives generously, all while smiling. In return, we have chosen to passionately support Indonesia through local, small-scale production.
Our dedication to ethical practices is woven into the fabric of everything we do. Each product is individually hand sewn with intention, and every stitch is a labour of love. As with any handmade item, there may be subtle inconsistencies and unique imperfections that reflect the human touch that sets our products apart.
